Playgroup

Playgroup runs every Thursday morning of the school term, from 9:30-11:30am. We ask for a contribution of $3/child towards the morning.

A great time where babies, toddlers and Pre-schoolers can have fun in a safe, interactive environment. Craft and natural play experiences form part of the time. There is also book reading, singing and morning tea. Parents, grandparents and carers can enjoy the fun and friendship with others who are experiencing the same joys and challenges of raising young children.

Playgroup is currently run by Sian Smith who has been involved with MUBC kids for 10 years. A mother of 4 children herself, Sian is also a nurse and widely experienced in helping mothers and babies. She and her team love coming alongside parents to encourage and support.

Along with Sian, Playgroup is run by a team of trained volunteers who attend MUBC and all have a Working With Children’s Check. They are always updated on safe practices for working with children. The team loves getting to know both parents and children who come to Playgroup and are ready to help and have fun.

Playgroup parents take turns contributing towards the morning tea. We ask that all food at Playgroup is nut-free. If your child has further restrictions on diet we ask that you provide your own food.

I would like to bring my child to Playgroup, what do I need to know?

If it is your first time at Playgroup, we will require you to fill out a registration form, which includes basic contact and medical details.
