Mainly Music is a movement and music program designed especially for toddlers, babies and their carers. It is a half hour program operating in our auditorium, with lots of props, songs, rhymes and instruments. It is led by one of our trained Mainly Music team. Our aim is to provide space and time for parents and carers to interact with their child/ren in a positive and affirming way.

Afterwards, we then all move to our attached play area for both morning tea together and a time of creative, interactive play time for the children. Parents and carers get a chance to grab a coffee and have a chat.

Mainly Music runs on Thursdays during the school terms, from 9.30-11.30am.

Mainly Music is headed up by Michelle Hughes who is our Children’s and Families Co-ordinator. She and her team of trained volunteers love coming alongside parents and carers to encourage and support them in this special role.

Mainly Music counts it a privilege to be able to not only provide morning tea for the children but also for the ‘big people’. We do ask for a $5 contribution to help towards the running of the program itself.

I would like to bring my child to Mainly Music what do I need to know?

You are welcome! Just come along to our sign-posted auditorium at 9.30am. You will then just need to fill out a registration form, (which includes basic contact and medical details) and pay $5.00, either weekly or by the term. We have online payment options as well.

MUBC Kids Teachers

All our teachers involved in leading, teaching and caring for children and youth are well-trained, have a current and verified Working with Children’s Check and have also completed Child Protection Training within the last three years.
