Playgroup runs on Thursdays during the school terms, from 9.30-11.30am. It’s a great time where babies, toddlers and Pre-schoolers can have fun in a safe, interactive environment. Craft and natural play experiences form part of the time, as well as singing, reading and morning tea.
Parents, grandparents and carers get to also enjoy the opportunities and friendships with others who are experiencing the same joys and challenges of raising young children.
MUBC Playgroup is headed up by Michelle Hughes who is our Children’s and Families Co-ordinator. A mother herself, she is also a teacher with lots of experience with children. She and her team of trained volunteers love coming alongside parents and carers to encourage and support them in this special role.
Parents and carers are asked to contribute towards the children’s morning tea by bringing a piece of fruit to share. They are also encouraged to occasionally bring something to share with the other adults. We ask for a $3/child or $5/family contribution to help towards the cost of craft and other equipment.
Playgroup is a nut-free zone. If your child has any further restrictions on diet it would be best to bring something for them.
I would like to bring my child to Playgroup, what do I need to know?
If it is your first time at Playgroup, we will require you to fill out a registration form, which includes basic contact and medical details.
